You shivered in fear as you hid in a piece of abandoned furniture.
From the inner balcony of the ruined mall, you could see lots of giant boys and girls on the first floor. They were tall enough that most of them reached the lower ceilings of the first floor and wore a mixture of torn cloth and rags as clothing.
They looked like those tall amazonians you had read about once. Just absurdly huge children in place of women.
You could see them patrolling the first floor. If you didn’t find a way out of the mall soon, they would find you, and you would become one of them.
You didn’t dare go up to the third floor either.
Your best friend, Annie, got infected by an ambush from a tribe of giant children. You only got away because she grew bigger than any other infected, stunning the tribe long enough to sneak away.
But Annie hadn’t forgotten you.
Ever since then, she stalked you, calling out your name in the midst of her infected gibberish. Her massive size made it impossible to outrun her, much less hide.
Right now, Annie was outside the mall, peering into the shattered windows. The third floor was demolished, so she would have no trouble spotting you and infecting you if you dared to set foot there.
You had only two options:
You could try to find a way around the tribe of giant children through the third floor, but you risked getting infected by Annie.
Or you could try to sneak away and hope you did not get caught by the tribe.
