Once your nausea subsided, you swore you must be dreaming. You were floating in midair in the midst of an endless yellowish void. Boulders the size of buildings hovered around you, and in the far-off distance you could see a vast brown plane which stretched out to the horizon. A glaring light shone above the plane, and you had to shield your eyes from its glow. Everything beyond the boulders was out of focus because of the distance, but something about these blurry forms felt oddly familiar.
Before you could figure out what they reminded you of, a sudden gust of wind sent you flying. You turned around to find a strange figure towering before you. The figure grew larger as you neared it, and to your astonishment it seemed to be moving. How something so immeasurably large could be moving so gracefully was beyond you.
Now that you were closer, you could make out more of the figure's details. Monumental gray pillars descended miles beneath you to support an expansive field of white. Extending from this field were two lengths of pale beige, both ending in huge brown circles. Directly ahead of you, the figure was even more indecipherable. There was more pale beige, now framed in gold and split by a wide ribbon the color of cherry blossoms. Above this ribbon were two enormous pools of gray, one of which you seemed to be quickly approaching. Your heart began to bang in your chest and your jaw dropped as you put together the puzzle pieces. This staggeringly colossal being was Natalie.
You had shrunk to infinitesimal size and were floating in the dining area beside the table when Natalie walked in with the drinks, wearing a loose-fitting white tee and a pair of gray pants. Normally you were tall enough that you could comfortably rest your chin on her head, and you loved to poke fun at her height. To say the tables had turned would be a massive understatement. Her face alone was larger than anything you had ever seen, and only grew larger as you got closer. Without warning, her lips parted and a low rumble filled your body and rattled your bones. You were far too small to be able to hear what she was saying, but from the movement of her lips she seemed to be shouting your name. You screamed at the top of your lungs in reply but you knew it was in vain. Once your upbeat best friend, Natalie was now an infinite goddess living on a plane beyond your comprehension. You had no choice but to adopt an air of reverence towards your new goddess.
The slight current from the A/C had set you on a collision course with her left eye, and now her glistening cornea took up your entire field of vision. There was no way she could see you, so you resigned yourself to your inevitable fate. That is, until fate had other ideas. At that very moment, Natalie did something humans do all the time without even thinking about it. An action so inconsequential, she was scarcely aware she'd done it. She blinked.
For you, this simple action was apocalyptic. Eyelashes as wide as a skyscraper is tall snapped together in front of you, and the shock wave from their contact sent you careening across the room. You flew past dust speck asteroids and soared this way and that with no idea where you were going. As you tumbled through the air, you saw Natalie growing closer once more. You were completely helpless as you flew straight-
