"Hey you're the pastor's kid right?" A woman with fiery red hair, covered in tattoos asked you as you took a short cut through the park. She was flanked by two equally tattooed men, one with a shaved head and the other with a patterned buzz cut.
You hang your head down low as you continued to walk. A huge 6 foot 5 man made of muscles blocked your way. "It's rude to ignore someone when they ask you a question," he barely pushed you, causing you to fall flat on your ass.
"Gentle, Crusher, we've got no beef with the kid, just hear to deliver a message from the old man is all," the woman held out her tattooed hand to help you up, giving you a better look at her face, she had heaps of piercing on her face, including above the eye, a couple in her nose and one on her lip. You took her hand and pulled away.
"Shadow just helped you up, what do you say?" Crusher asked standing behind you.
"Thank you..." you muttered under her breath.
"You won't be thanking me in a second. Like I said, I'm here to deliver a message," she said as she ran her finger tips through her long hair. "And you're not going to like it."
You turned to Crusher as he puts a fist in his hands. The other two guys seem to be looking at you menacingly as well. You brace yourself for a beating when Shadow laughs.
"Not that kind of message," she chuckles, causing her three companions to follow. "Nah, I'm here to warn you, your dad's zealous church has drawn the attention of some powerful people. People with abilities you couldn't possibly imagine."
"Oh they are going to fuck your family up," the bald lackey laughed.
"Again, not in a physical way..." Shadow assured you.
"Why tell me? I have nothing to do with my step father's church."
"You're his son and sons pay the sins of their father, blood related or not," Shadow says as she paces back and forth in front of you. "The fact you aren't involved with the church and you are only his step son is what gives you this warning."
You try to look for an opening to escape from these thugs but there's no where to run and all the bystanders know not to get involved with them.
"That's the other reason we're giving you this warning, you might soon find yourself in the position to destroy the church, if you do find yourself in that position, you know where to find us." Shadow snapped her fingers and the other three backed off, allowing you to go home. "Oh and one more thing, don't get comfortable with the skin you're in."
You ran away from them as soon as they let you and headed straight for home.
