Chapter #6Ruby made some changes by: Zone ![Author Icon](https://images.Writing.Com/imgs/writing.com/writers/costumicons/ps-icon-regular-10.gif) Ruby paused.
“Maybe… if we want this to be the best game ever, maybe it should be a surprise? The book can do all of this, so maybe it can create an epic scenario? I like being a player more then a DM anyways. Jaune’s a great roleplayer too, so we can lead the party. I guess it would also only be fair to get my friends to agree to play first then pretend we got sucked into the game. Forcing them to play would be mean.”
Ruby was just a really nice person.
When Jaune comes over, I’ll show him the game and he will agree to play it, knowing it will suck us all into it. It will happen once we start after getting our friends and choosing classes. Jaune will not question why we got this and will be my partner in crime. The game will create an epic world for us to follow and make it the most amazing game of Dungeons and Dragons EVER!
She had to capitalize ever and now she waited for Jaune. Finally, after what seemed like days, Jaune knocked on the door and she let him in.
“Sup, Ruby.” Jaune greeted. “Ready to get crushed in video games?”
“Nah,” Ruby stuck out her tongue at him. “I actually got this amazing magical D&D game.” She explained it to him and, thanks to the book, he understood everything quickly and believed her. “I was thinking of playing a warrior archetype, Reaper. Uses scythes and is a mobile fighter.”
“I usually play paladins or another tank,” Jaune admitted. “Think I want to try something new.”
“Oh?” Ruby nudged him. “Not going to play yourself.”
“Says the Reaper.”
“Touché.”
“I’m thinking a Bard,” Jaune finally decided. “Group support, back up healer, illusions, and the ability to talk us out of trouble after you get us into it.”
“Hey!” She slightly punched him in the arm. “Well, I guess that’s true. Bards are pretty cool. You’ll have to sing once we get in.”
“Nah, going to play the mandolin.”
“You still have to sing!”
“Nope.”
“Meanie.” Ruby stuck her tongue out. “So who should we invite to play? Who will play? Weiss would hate this game.”
“Which would make it really fun to get her in,” Jaune pointed out. “Make her the wizard.”
“Hah, maybe.” Ruby thought about it. “You wouldn’t mind if I invite Penny, right?”
“She seems nice,” Jaune assured her. “Little weird somethings, but our school is full of weird people.” Ruby laughed at that. “You found the game, you decide. I would suggest Ren and Nora, but Nora in a game like this… do you want to deal with that?”
“…No.” Ruby admitted. “Well, a good party is four to six people, so let’s start persuading people to join!”
Ruby never realized that she didn’t write a fail safe way out of the game if things went wrong. Well, that probably wouldn’t matter, right?
“Who we invited first?” Jaune asked.
