There was no way that book would work. She must have brought it because she wrote in it and didn’t want the librarian to know. Weiss must have finally gotten a sense of humor. It wasn’t like magic existed and Yang always knew she was hilarious. Cardin probably always had a small penis anyways and that’s why he was a bully. Yang never did find Blake, so she had been forced to do her own workout against a bunch of sparring robots.
No on blew off Yang Xiao-Long.
It was now personal.
“I’m going off to look for Blake,” Yang told Weiss. “Let me know if she comes back.”
“Uh huh.” Weiss muttered, still focused on the cube in her hand. Yang smirked that Weiss was having trouble with a child’s toy and left.
As Blake wasn’t in the library, she had to have found a secluded spot to read one of her novels. Looking outside at the sun and nice weather, it most likely mean she was outside. Thinking, Yang finally remembered Blake had a favorite tree overlooking the nearby forest she liked to read under. She took off and, unsurprisingly, Blake was there. She was fast asleep with a book on her chest. Slowly and carefully, without making any noise, Yang tiptoed over until she was right behind Blake.
“FREE TUNA!”
“I’m up!” Blake yelled jumping up and knocking the book to the ground. “Where is… Yang?!”
“Remember anything?” Yang asked, crossing her arms.
Blake’s eyes widened.
“Oh… sparring practice. Sorry, Yang. I lost track of time.”
“I can see that.” Yang picked up her book and looked at it. “Smut. What? You needed some alone time?” Blake flushed.
“It’s not smut! It’s adult literature.”
“Whatever you say.” Yang rolled her eyes.
“I wanted to read it before Zwei tried to chew it up.” Blake hissed. “I caught him sniffing some of my other books already.”
“He’s trained not to crew stuff that isn’t his,” Yang brushed off. “He has chew toys for a reason.” She grinned. “If you do see him eating your book, you know what you should do? Take the words right out of his mouth!”
Blake started laughing.
Yang gaped at her.
Weiss getting a sense of humor was one thing, but Blake?
“Finally you tell a good joke,” Blake said, shaking her head and calming down. “But really, I’m sorry for blowing you off. I’ll do whatever you want to make up for it.”
“Come to the club with me?” Yang asked.
“Besides that.”
Yang and Blake started heading back toward Beacon. During the trip, Yang knew something was up. Weiss and Blake both laughed at her puns and they never did before. This was too much of a coincidence. Her eyes widened as she remembered the book. That had to be it. There was no other option. She then shook her head. There was no way that could work, right? Maybe she needed to test it out again with something she could easily verify.
Maybe make Weiss want to date Jaune. Blake could become a party girl. Or Ruby… Her sister would be a good target. She used up all the hot water yesterday and Yang was forced to take a cold shower. Maybe a little humorous revenge was in order.
If the book worked, but she was going to see for sure.
