Jaune believes book is fake and moves on, unawa...

Figuring this whole thing was fake, he looked for the actual book he needed. Finally finding it, he checked it out. He also took the fake Book of Reality he found. While it didn’t work, he figured he could write a few things down for fun and imagine they worked. He left the library, unaware a certain Cat Faunus was watching him closely and was disappointed he didn’t come talk to her. She may have to pick up her game.

Jaune returned to his room to find Pyrrha finishing her own work.

“Hi, Jaune!” She greeted. “Find the book you needed?”

“Yeah, got it right here.” He held up the book. “No to write down the information.”

“Be careful not to copy it word for word,” Pyrrha warned. “Oobleck has a strong plagiarism policy.”

“I know, I won’t.” Jaune promised. “Though, think you can look it over when I’m done?”

“Sure, I would be happy too.” Pyrrha smiled and stood up. “I just finished mine, so we can share information when you’re done.”

“Thanks.” Jaune said and went back to work after Pyrrha left the room to give him some quiet.

She didn’t like just giving the answers and he was glad for that. While it was tougher, he did learn more. It didn’t take that long to finish the section he had left and was done in thirty minutes. It actually took longer because his eyes kept drifting to the Book of Reality. Almost like something was pulling his attention to it. Now that he was finished, he opened it up again on a whim, ignoring the first line he wrote since it didn’t come true. He figured he might as well try it again and do something fun.

The first thing he thought of was giving himself a new Semblance. He didn’t know what his was, but since this was all imaginary he could give himself a cool one. Something worthy of a hero. Or maybe he could write down some kind of invention that would be impossible in real life. Stuff you only saw in comic books or weird fanfictions on the darker side of the internet. The choices were endless.
