The 'wise' and 'intelligent' guardian of the Master Emerald. Last of his kind (in some continuities) and one of Sonic's strongest friends.
1.) Knuckles is tired of being the last of his kind. He wants there to be more echidnas around. (Note - All other echidna characters aren't available for use in this story, barring Tikal, who is dead.)
2.) Knuckles has been on the island for over a year by himself with no visitors. Knowing that the island will be passing through a place that no one can reach, not even Eggman's fleets, he decides to visit the mainland and see his friends. But he's unaware that things have changed...
3.) Knuckles has lived along for ages. But he prefers solitude. He doesn't want anyone around his land or the Master Emerald. So he eliminates anyone he finds...
4.) One day, the Master Emerald gets up and leaves. After Knuckles survives Angel Island crashing, he goes searching for it. Things get weird fast.
