The nanites he had been injected with as part of the government program had given him unexpected abilities. He found he could make himself as strong as he wanted, give himself the ability to project energy, defy gravity and fly like Superman, and so much more. The nanotech bonded with his DNA, letting him absorb energy from literally anything and make it a part of him, increasing his power until he was literally unstoppable.
Eventually, he gained the ability to absorb things directly, as well, giving himself their abilities. He attacked and absorbed the Large Hadron Collider, which gave him power great enough to travel between realities once he mastered the effects of it.
One thing that the people tracking the villain noticed is that he had brainwashed all the male scientists at the Collider's laboratory with a touch, and that he had made the female scientists more beautiful and buxom with a touch, brainwashing them into being his servants and fucking them, including fucking one woman in front of her brainwashed husband. And then, before stepping through the portal to another world he made, he had devoured them whole, absorbing them into his body in seconds.
The people tracking the villain silently prayed for whatever women in the world he went to.
