The villain walked into the room containing the Necronomicon. It was the first of the things he wanted from this reality, and it had been surprisingly easy to find.
"There you are..." the villain said, walking up to the book. The twisted face on the book seemed nervous.
"What do you want?" it asked. "You're far stronger than I. You don't need the power of the Deadites."
"You're right. I don't," the villain said. "I do, however, what you for my collection. I'll seal your ability to have other people possessed, of course. But you are just the first of many treasures I plan to collect."
"...You're mad," the Necronomicon said. "I can see into your soul. Your ambition is mad."
"Indeed," the villain said. "That is what makes it fun. But if it helps any, I plan to have some fun with your nemesis."
"...Ash Williams," the Necronomicon said, allowing itself a smile. "What do you plan to do to him?"
"You'll see," the villain said, placing the book under his arms and turning to leave the temple.
