Seeing as Danielle is a clone of Danny phantom a.k.a Danny Fenton, Dani figured that technically she was Danny's daughter since she was created using his DNA. And since Dani was 12 years old physically and mentally when she was created, she never got to be a baby let alone a childhood.

Traveling the world was fun, but after awhile, Dani wanted someone to take care of her.
