After becoming accustomed to walking on four legs and seeing from eyes on the side of his head, Brad signaled to Karen that he was ready to hit the trails. Karen thought it was best if they ran to the trail to avoid driving without identification.
The two set off at a steady but brisk pace.
“This body is amazing! I feel like I could run for hours! This body is built for this.”, said Karen as she continued running without being the slightest bit winded.
“Brad barked twice in agreement as he ran along side his new master. He ran ahead of Karen a few times, enjoying the thrill of running so fast. It wasn’t long before the two reached the trail head.
Karen reaches down and clipped a leash onto Brad’s collar who responded with a brief whine. “It’s the park rules Sandy. Now be a good girl and play along.”, said Karen as she reaches down and pet Brad.
Brad was kind of turned on by Karen being in charge. He found himself WANTING to please Karen and be a good girl. His dog instincts where certainly influencing some of his actions.
Brad was introduced to many dogs on the trail and he quickly became proficient at greeting the other dogs in the proper manner. All the hikers talked about how beautiful his coat was. He beefed with pride at every compliment and wagged his tail almost uncontrollably.
They were about a mile into the trail when they met a man with another golden retriever.
“Wow, she’s a beautiful dog!”, said a tall athletic man as he approached Karen and Brad. “What’s her name?”
“Hi! I’m Gwen and this is Sandy! Nice to meet you!”, said Karen as she eyed up the handsome man.
“I’m Robert, and this is Sam!”, said the man as he approached.
Brad ran up to Sam and sniffed his backside. Sammy reciprocated and licked Brad’s face.
“I’ve been looking for a bitch to pair up with Sammy here for a while. You wouldn’t happen to be looking for a stud?”
“Sammy certainly is a handsome boy! I bet they would have the most adorable pups!”, said Karen as she winked at Brad.
“It was the word “pups” that snapped Brad out of his drifting mind. It reminded him of his current gender and his ability to have puppies. That mesmerizing scent from Sam woke him up to the fact that ‘ole Sammy might be getting a bit too friendly. He made sure not to turn his back on the very handsome dog.
