The two finish their dinner

    by: Writetime Author IconMail Icon

Robin takes a step closer toward Chrom and extends her palm, "Mind if I..?" She trails off shyly, extending her hand. Chrom nods softly before striding over to his wife’s hand gently.

Without the panic of a few minutes ago thrumming in her veins, Robin can fully feel how light her husband is. The need to keep her husband safe doubles and deepens in the pit of her stomach, "You're so fragile..." She breathes softly.

"Robin?” She nearly jumps at the sound of her husband addressing her so lightly, “Did you say something?" He asks, looking up at her with those sharp eyes he always had as a lord.

"No, nothing." Robin lies, looking down at Chrom sweetly, “Here, I will set you back on the table while I return to get us some more stew."
Inside the kitchen, Robin went to work making a stew. It was a simple stew. Made with carrots leeks, onions, and potatoes. She even got some bear meat. As she watched the stew simmered she thought over things. She knew it was a sore point for Chrom on his performance in Smash. She tried to reassure Chrom that his performance in the matches didn't matter. She just wanted him to be safe. As the stew warmed an idea came to mind. As a descendent of Divine Dragons Robin had the power to keep her husband safe from all harm, but it would require placing Chrom in her stomach. Her stomach acid would imbue him with its essence to keep him safe. But he would have to remain there for at least a week.

She decided that it would be no good talking to Chrom about this. She would have to craft a plan to make it seem that Chrom accidently ended up in her stew.

Robin returned to the table humming a tune. She carried a book in her hand along with a bowl of stew. She placed the bowl of stew on the table and the book in front of the bowl.

Eat up dear! I figured we could eat from the same bowl together like we use to. I even have a little bowl and spoon for you to use! Just scoop your bowl into mine and eat to your heart's content. Robin smiled down at Chrom.

Chroms face softed at Robin's words. "Thank you my love. I'm sorry for my earlier behavior. I love you and know you would do anything to keep me and our family safe."

Robin's cheeks flushed pink. "Of course Chrom. I love you so much" Chrom leaned down to scoop out some stew. As he did so Robin turned and bumped the table with her hip. The disturbance threw Chrom face first into the bowl.

Chrom splashed and flailed in the soap, struggling to remain afloat.

"Of all the things to have happen to me!"

He was suddenly forced forward, as the "sea" beneath him moved. Something had scooped him up and lifted up out of the bowl! He splashed about as an enormous face appeared before him.

Chrom gasped as he saw his wife's face.

"Robin?! ROBIN! DEAR! DON'T EAT ME!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. Unfortunately at his size, it was no more than a whisper.

Robin appeared not to have heard him as she placed the spoon in her mouth. She licked the spoon clean sending the stew and Chrom down towards her belly.

Chrom cried out in terror as a sudden torrent of stew poured into the throat, dislodging him and sending him speeding down the esophagus. He cried out in panic as he continued to fall for what seemed like a few hundred meters, until he could see the entrance to the stomach open below him, giving him a view of the cavernous organ.

“Gods!”

Chrom bellowed as he landed on the floor of the stomach. He had been terrified that the impact would kill him. Fortunately for him, the stomach was soft enough that he was not hurt when he landed, only winded, and he sunk into the spongy flesh of the stomach floor.

When Chrom was able to pull himself to his feet, he tried to look around him.
“This was terrible! It has to be a nightmare!”

It was pitch black in the stomach, wet, smelly, and extremely hot and humid, and Chrom felt absolutely miserable.

He could only hope that Robin would notice and work to free him. He shuddered at the thought of leaving the natural way.
