Noah was the smallest in his class and very skittish around the other children, especially those from the older years. He was outright scared of anyone unfamiliar. He had spend his first few days at the daycare hiding. His teachers had finally managed to coax him out of his hideout, but he was still playing by himself most of the time and avoided the other kids.
Though Noah was aware of the toilet and its purpose and he had shown some signs of readiness, he was still in diapers. The bathroom at his daycare was way too bright and open for his taste. Usually, there would be other kids there, loud and rowdy and scary.
Noah wasn’t comfortable approaching any of his teachers either. He’d usually linger close-by and wait for them to notice him if he needed anything. If he felt a teacher was upset or angry at him or he thought he was in trouble, he’d usually go mute and try to hide again.
