Graham had been a late bloomer in regards to potty training and still been in diapers less than a year ago. The break-through had come when his mom, at her wits end, had resorted to bribery. Every time Graham went peepee in the potty, he would get a little piece of chocolate and he was allowed to take two when he also poopied.
Of cause, Graham had quickly figured out that the more frequently he used the potty, the more chocolate he would get. So he just went a tiny bit to get his sweet reward and hold the rest so he could go again soon and earn yet more chocolate. This in turn meant that Graham never fully emptied himself and was in an almost constant state of having to go potty.
