Raphael Kirsten is the orphaned son of a pair of humble merchants. For a long time he tried to maintain his families business while living with his grandmother, all for the sake of his sister. Well aware that his muscular physique made him unsuited for merchant life, he worked to enter the officers academy and become a knight. Though he has the natural talent for the physical aspects, he has little skill for its tactical facets. A smaller size would force him to rely on his wits rather than his strength to survive.
