It wasn't often that Claude regretted his life's choices. Sure, some of his schemes backfired, but nothing like this. It was supposed to be an upgraded version of his stomach flu poison. However, it seemed that strange concoctions and Lysithea's magic didn't mix well.
He was roughly an inch tall in the middle of the Golden Deer classroom’s floor.
“Mighty fine mess you’ve gotten yourself into, Claude,” he said, running a hand through his thick brown hair.
Scanning the room, he tried to figure out what was his next course of action. He always prided himself on having a plan, and a contingency plan, and a contingency for the contingency plan. However, the sudden shrinkage had caught him completely off guard as the magic seemed to create an effect he wasn’t anticipating.
“Still,” he hummed to himself. “If I can convince Teach to let us use this new shrinking potion I created, it’ll make for a good surpise.” He stretched his arms behind his back. “Not that she’ll ever go for it.”
He could already tell what Professor Byleth was going to respond if she caught him like this.
“Serves you right for trying to get a leg up at Gronder Field,” he said, mimicking his professor’s tone terribly. “She’d probably parade me around and make an example out of me as well.”
Almost as if the universe was chastising him, the ground began to rumble, and Claude realized he wasn’t going to be alone in the classroom for much longer. His gaze whipped towards the entrance, yet he found himself absolutely stunned at the incoming booming footfalls of…
