You've gotten a lot of calls before that didn't tell you all the details and that was pretty standard, especially since the caller was usually in danger themselves. So when you got a call that requested your team's help because,"Chaos was running through the streets" you weren't sure who to bring with. Instead of wasting time on who should come, you went with the decision to just bring every member of your team, just in case. When you finally arrived, you realized exactly what the caller meant by their wording.
"Oh My Goodness" You quickly broke free of your surprised state and immediately began calling out orders to your team of pups in an attempt to take control of the situation. There was a fire at the local bakery, the town hall fountain was completely shattered with it's contents spilling about, several buildings had their corners trimmed off like they were simple hedge carvings, some of the other buildings farther off looked sliced in half, the gigantic prop drink for the juice store was missing, and to top it all off people were running around rampant which seemingly was causing even more problems.
"Chase! I need you to round everybody up and gather them behind us away from the danger."
"Will do Ryder sir!" While Chase was rounding everybody up you focused your attention elsewhere and directed Skye to see how far the damage went while everyone else was assigned to control the damage you already saw. As you were surveying to see if there was anybody specific that needed help, you realized someone running away from the particularly large gathering of people that Chase had already round up.
"Hey! Come back it's not safe over there!" You shouted. It seemed however that the person was ignoring you outright as they then turned the street. When you were about to send someone after him however, someone tapped you on your shoulder.
"Ryder! That's the guy that started this whole mess! They tried to crash a car" the citizen said.
"He probably set all of this up to steal something!" one cried.
"No, it was just to rob all of us!" one screamed.
"Maybe it was a grudge against us!" another said.
"STOP! Chase, i'll finish rounding up everyone else, go after him and bring him to the police station if you can, be careful." Chase then gave you a confident look as he put away his megaphone and began his pursuit. You didn't really want him to pursue the guy but if that's what will stop the countless citizens from breaking your concentration, then so be it.
You looked back towards the rest of your pups to see that the main dangers seemed to have been satiated when you weren't even looking. You sighed in relief and continued to keep the crowd in check because now came the part that was gonna to take awhile. Since there wasn't much construction services that close to your town, you began designating tasks to repair the homes because you didn't have a home for all the people that had theirs destroyed.
As you were doing that Chase called in informing you that the person was in custody and that he was injured but was coming back. As much as you needed the help, that injury wasn't going to get better if it kept getting strained so you told him to go back to the tower and that the team would be fine. He attempted to argue with your judgement when he finally conceded and hung up. When he did though, you realized that you forgot to ask what kind of injuries he even had.
"Stupid" You muttered to yourself as you sought to remedy that mistake. While you wanted to go back to check on him yourself, there is still some things dogs can't do that you would still need to take care of. As you thought about it, you immediately began to cross members of your team off the list. Rocky and Rubble couldn't do it because they were your main pups when it came to repairing. Skye couldn't do it because you needed to fix the roofs of the places around and it wasn't going to be easier without her. Everest also couldn't do it because she needed to head back homeward and you needed someone that could stay at the tower to watch over him.
Which meant there was only two options: Zuma or Marshall. You weren't exactly sure what they were doing at the moment but that was soon going to change. You called both of them and they were actually still trying to fix problems of their own but were apparently, nearly done. You sighed and asked them to call you again when they were finished. "Hopefully it's soon" you thought to yourself.
