You had looked around enough and just as Avril sat down on the bench you pressed the button on the remote, time froze and the display you saw earlier appeared again except this time it had the diagram of both you and Maria. You thought it would be interesting to swap with Maria, So you looked over the various options then you came to a conclusion on what you'd swap. 'Life and romantic relationships', If you swapped lives you'd become maria to the outside observer but you wanted to keep Avril as your girlfriend. So you added in relationships so that it would cancel that out from the life swap, Then you resumed time. Suddenly you felt as if your clothes were a lot heavier and in fact they were.
You had on Maria's uniform, which went from your neck to just above your ankles with all the frills and extra details included you even had a headpiece on. You quickly shoved the remote into your apron to avoid anyone seeing it and then Avril turned over to you, Maria please fetch Missy's lead. You bowed slightly by tilting your head and went towards the small shelf near the front door where Missy's lead was. You would have gone to get it when Avril asked regardless of the fact she was technically now your boss but you felt as if her order held some kind of importance to it.
You then attached the lead to Missy's collar and felt compelled to return to cleaning the windows, but then Avril called you over "Come on you said you'd come with me didn't you? besides it gives us some alone time" she said kissing you on the cheek. You held the lead as you walked with Avril which was out of the ordinary normally Avril loved to hold the lead when you walked Missy together. You assumed it was due to your new occupation. The walk was surprisingly forthcoming with information, based on the way Avril talked to you your relationship was a secret one for two reasons. First because her father disapproved of lesbian relationships (Which meant that you were perceived as a woman in this reality thus why you're a maid instead of a butler or some other domestic servant role more fitting to a male) and second due to the fact you were of a 'lower class'.
Her father had never really liked you but he realised that he couldn't force Avril to marry somebody that would help him economically for business' sake but now he believed he had reasons (albeit bigoted ones) to forbade Avril from being in a relationship with you.
Avril seemed to care about your well-being a lot more than before asking about whether or not your workload had been to harsh recently or if you were being treated fairly by everyone in the house. You responded by saying you were fine, soon enough the walk was over and you returned home. Avril resumed playing with Missy and you resumed the job you'd stopped Maria doing via your swap. Getting out Maria's phone from the apron you had you opened up a phone tracker app and put in the details for your own phone and saw that maria had returned to your house as expected.
You could run home and swap back now if your curiosity has been sated or you could continue to live her life for a bit, perhaps even swap with somebody else in the house.
