Dave blinked, and the scene around him changed from a grand stage in an empty theater to the living room of a penthouse apartment. He and Lara were seated in grand, black leather couches across an expanse of hardwood floor. Behind Lara was a sliding glass door leading out to a balcony overlooking whatever city they were in. Odd paintings hung from the walls, featuring all-too-suggestive looking curves and lines in garish, contrasting colors. He looked to his right. Libby stood next to a colossal flatscreen TV, which displayed a single slot reel. The words "World Warper" were displayed above it.
"Okay, then!" said Libby, "I suppose this is a more interesting place to hold our little game than that boring old stage. And how fun, we change our scenery just as we get to one of the weirder options."
"A World Warper roll is pretty simple," she continued, "Any change that comes up gets applied to the entire world, or at least the parts of it that the result specifies. Unless it specifies otherwise, the change will be normalized; nobody will think it's all that strange, but it also won't change too much of human history."
"Good," muttered Lara, "I wouldn't have to memorize a bunch of new presidents when this is all through."
"I heard that!" said Libby, "But I also don't care. Let's roll!"
