You decide that the airport would be your best bet. Not only would there be a wide variety of people to choose from you could also just board a plane with someone to some tropical place like Hawaii. It's not like anyone called you or visited, and work was a nonissue because you were just fired because you were a "bad employee" but it was more like the manager getting pissed off at your recommendations to improve the store.
You enter the airport and make a beeline to the washroom. You go into the stall but first make sure no one sees you go in. You step on the toilet to avoid peeking eyes spotting your feet and you shrink. The top of the toilet is about the size of 4 of you, height-wise. That puts you at about 4 inches. Looking over the edge was slightly intimidating but you are encouraged by the words of you being immortal and pain proof told to you in the dream. The dream hadn't lied so far, so you suppose it should be fine.
And with that thought, you jumped. You landed on the floor rather anticlimactically. No sound was even made. You made a running pace towards the entrance of the washroom, exiting at a speed that would make Usain Bolt jealous. It seems shrinking also improves your physical abilities, meaning it could be possible for you to lift something like a shoe or even heavier at your size, similar to Antman.
You easily navigate your way through the winding paths by following the signs and sticking close to the edge. You had to shrink down to microscopic size to avoid detection a couple of times, but then you could grow right back a minute later. Then came the metal detectors. Of course, you just walked by the fencing. Then came the gates. There were a couple of different cultures you could choose to interact with based on which gate you went to. Of course, that isn't to say there will only be Japanese people at a gate to Japan.
