The King of the Koopas was at his wits ends. His most recent plan for wooing Princess Peach (kidnapping her and holding her in his castle, of course) had failed spectacularly. Through no fault of his own of course, it was the fault of those blasted Super Mario Brothers!
Well this was the final straw for king Bowser Koopa, if he couldn't win over Princess Peach then that was her loss! There were plenty of princesses around that would love to be with a smart, handsome, and funny guy like him! Of course he had never actually met a princess who was head over heels for him in the Mushroom Kingdom, but he was sure they existed somewhere!
"Sire! We have prepared the mushroom!" A squad of koopas, headed by Kamek called out to their lord. They agreed that there was no princess in this world who would willingly marry Bowser, so they would need to extend their net to other worlds.
"Take one bite of this soul swapshroom and your soul will be transported to another world. The mushroom will follow your soul, so simply take another bite if you cannot find a suitable pride in that world." Kamek explained to his master.
"Mwahaha! Excellent! With this, I'm bound to find the perfect bride and make Princess Peach jealous!" Bowser boasted "And the best part is, there won't be any Mario Brothers to stand in my way!"
Taking the swap shroom from Kamek, Bowser looked to his loyal minions "Thank you all for your service, you shall be forever known as the first major unit of Bowser Koopa's multiversal army!"
As Bowser took a bite of the mushroom, his body immediately fell unconscious as both his soul and the swapshroom left this universe. With another person's soul taking his place. His loyal minions of course, had the appropriate reaction:
"The boss is gone! Vacation time!" Kamek cheered as they ripped off their cloak to reveal a Hawaiian themed shirt and sunglasses.
As his minions celebrated his departure, the soul of Bowser was transported into the world of...
