Members from a medieval society find themselves on the other side of the gender fence. |
The story begins in the Kingdom of Achaea, a fictional medieval land where magic in the world is not unknown. You may begin as a member of the royal family, a noble knight, or even a commoner of the lowest regard. The possibilities are endless, and soon-- no matter their standpoint in life-- they will discover just what it's like to live as the other gender in this medieval society. No matter what, the character will be stuck in the form of the opposite gender for a period of time or possibly even forever. The choice is up to you. There are a number a ways to go about this gender change throughout the journey of these characters: The Ring of Reversal - this fabled ring has often been written about in ancient manuscripts, but very few have actually witnessed it's effects in person. Very little is known about the ring, and it is highly unlikely that anyone other than a magic user who inspects the ring would know about its rules and properties. The ring itself is gold in colour, with a red ruby encrusting the top of it that turns black for a period of 24 hours after the ring has been worn. The rules regarding this ring are as follows: - the ring can only be used once per 24 hours. - the ring cannot be used by the same person consecutively. This means that in order for the ring to work on the same person twice, someone else must use it before they can again. This means the minimum time a wearer will have to spend as the opposite gender will be two days. (assuming they know about this quality of the ring) - the ring does not change reality. The Cursed Sword of Hilda - this sword once belonged to a woman warrior by the name of Hilda. It is indistinguishable from any other one handed sword other than a faint ancient engraving along the blade, the sword has been known to change those who wield it into women. The man who dared to take it from Hilda's body following her death were condemned to a life of maidenhood, and the sword quickly became known for it's curse. The sword has since been locked away in the forgotten tomb of Hilda, never to again curse another man. The sword and the curse have been lost to the ages, and is regarded as more of a folk tale. The rules regarding the ring are as follows: - those who pick up the sword are changed into the fairer sex indefinitely. The sword has no reverse. - the effects of the sword do not magically hold the victim to staying as that gender. The effects can be reversed using other magic found within the world; however must be more powerful than the original curse itself. Therefore, not just any wizard can reverse the effects. The magic must come from another artifact. - the sword does not change reality. NOTE: - Sex scenes are allowed. You have free reign with the descriptiveness, but try to have it make sense with the story line. |
