Our story begins in the room of Eugene Chaud, who was currently doing his routine cleaning of PC. This may seem boring, but with how advanced the Internet is in 20XX, a simple virus could cause a lot of damage to not only systems but the real world as well. They were also pretty complex. Luckily, so were the programs that could delete them.
One second ago, a cluster of Pirranha viruses were swimming though the sky of Chaud’s PC, looking for something to attack. The next, they had been cleaved in two horizontally, deleted by the sword of a powerful Navi. Protoman landed effortlessly and looked back at the scattering data of the viruses.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Chaud, tapped the stop button on the stopwatch he held and watched as a Trident Arrow 1 Z downloaded itself onto a Blank Battle Chip into his PET. “Exactly one second.” He spoke to no one in particular, very much used to this routine by now. Protoman responded with a grunt of acknowledgement and some words. “Not good enough.”
“I agree. One second is still a big enough timeframe to for a skilled Navi to hit us within. We must keep on improving.” Chaud’s reply got what he needed across to Protoman. The sunglasses-wearing Navi nodded and returned to hunting down any more Viruses lurking on Chaud’s PC.
