You live an idyllic life out in the countryside… or at least, you did. But recently, your farm has been being disrupted by nothing less than… UFOs! It seems like all the time recently, you’ve been seeing strange green lights outside, almost like stars.
But nobody believes you… and to be fair, you haven’t really been able to catch any photographic evidence at all… but you’re not crazy or anything! There really is something strange going on around your humble light farm!
It all came to a head when, one night, while you were trying to sleep, you heard a strange noise outside… and a powerful, green light started pouring through the window! Started, you wake from your bed… only to be somehow mesmerized by that green light.
In a tired daze, you stumble over to the window, staring out into that endless green expanse, until your mind grows foggy and all you can see is that shiny green…
Eventually, that green all faded away… and the floor seemingly collapsed from under you! You were knocked out of your trance all of a sudden, only for your heart to suddenly sink into your chest when you saw where you suddenly were… somewhere above a strange continent, hundreds of meters above the ground!
“No, no, no, no!” You panicked, your heart pounding in your chest as you suddenly started falling down to the ground.
You had no idea what was going on, or why you were suddenly so high in the air all of a sudden! All you could do was brace yourself for what you assumed to be certain death. Indeed, you landed with such force that the nearby trees were blown over by the sheer crater you formed…
But to your surprise, you were… still alive? You let out a long groan, your heart still racing and soreness and nausea wracking your body…
Eventually, you hear noises all around you, like faint footsteps and a voice. All you can think is, thank goodness… someone’s coming to rescue me! “Oh dear! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Just a sliver of health left…”
You heard a voice, as somebody poked and prodded you. “Here, eat these! They’ll make you feel better…” With that, they brought a huge, blue berry to your lips, and without much other options, you started weakly chowing down…
Believe it or not, they actually worked! Just eating that berry, you could feel a lot of the pain going away, and your strength returns to you. After they let you chomp down on a second one, you feel just about as good as new, aside from some soreness and a headache.
Finally, you got a good glimpse of your attacker… but instead of a human, it was some monster you’ve never seen before! Some kind of plump, yellow rodent creature, standing on two legs!
“Eek! What are-” You stutter… only to realize you’re not human anymore either! Your whole body feels different… and when you look down, you’re a monster like him! Some four-legged creature, with many tails, and covered in fur!
To your horror, you realize this monster must be one of those extraterrestrials… and he had transformed you into one of them! “Nooo! Turn me back! Turn me back! I don’t wanna be an alien!” You immediately cry.
The creature seemed rather taken aback. “What? What’s an alien?” He asked, confused, as if wondering if something was wrong with your head. “Well, whatever it is, you’re not one of em. You’re a vulpix!”
You paused, even more confused than he was. “... a… vulpix?”
“You know… a Pokemon…?” He explained, incredulous, as if this much obvious. “You really trying to say you never noticed you were a vulpix before? Are you… sure you didn’t hit your head in that fall?”
A… a Pokemon? You’d heard of those things… seen them in commercials… but you assumed that it was just some dumb game for kids! If you really were a Pokemon, though… that clinches it! This all just HAD to be a dream!
You try to calm yourself down, convincing yourself you must be having a very vivid and disturbing dream. It would all be over soon… there was nothing to be afraid of… “So… if I’m a vulpix… then what kind of Pokemon are you?”
He smiles, proudly patting that pot belly of his. “Why, I’m a pikachu, of course!” You nod. Well, you’ve heard of those, at least. “And my name’s Andre! What’s your’s?”
You pause… before reaching up a paw, and letting the ‘pikachu’ pull you up to your feet, and you wobble a bit trying to keep your balance on four feet. Already, you were missing having hands. “My name’s Kristina… it’s, uh, nice to meet you, I suppose…”
The pikachu did seem to have nursed you back to health, and for that, you were thankful… but he still seemed eager to help even more.
