The German Shepherd examined the screen on the back of the DSLR camera, flickering through the photos Evan took of the big dog who looked pleased at the results.
"Yeah, sorry again for snooping around on your computer," Evan apologized.
"No worries. Thanks for offering to snap some better pictures of me!" Derrick replied. "These are a huge improvement over the ones I was about to send in. You've really got a knack for this. Oh! I love this one!" He turned the screen towards the lion. It was displaying an image of the standing dog, taken at a low angle looking upwards towards his mammoth body. Derrick somehow looked even more massive in that picture thanks to the angle.
"Well, let me know what they think of them!" said Evan. "I hope to sign you!"

And it was because of those photos that Derrick ended up getting the spot. The German Shepherd excitedly texted Evan a couple of days afterwards to come over, where he told the lion the good news.
"They absolutely loved them!" exclaimed the big dog. "I can't believe I'm going to be a Half-Ton Hunk!"
"Well, congratulations!" replied Evan.
"And that's not all! I told Joey, he's going to be my agent, all about you! And I said that I want you working on my photo shoots! They're willing to pay good more for your work!"
"Really? I didn't think I was that good at photography," the lion said. "I mean, all I did was point the camera and click."
"Nonsense! Like I said, you're a natural!" Derrick said. "Or, if you're wanting to really made some serious money, Joey said something about you getting a more 'involved' position with them."
"More involved? What's that supposed to mean?"
"I dunno. Joey only hinted at it. I guess you'll have to find out for yourself, but he made it clear that you'd be very, very well paid."
