Thankfully, the paramedics who came were fairly burly furs. While they still each had sizeable guts, both were heavily muscled no doubt thanks to lifting the gargantuan furs of Port Zaftig. They helped the cheetah get on to the reinforced stretcher which still groaned under his weight. The paramedics loaded the cheetah into the back and collected some contact information from Evan. Lights and sirens blaring, the ambulance drove off.
That was enough excitement for the day, so the lion headed back home, his walked have been substantially shortened. Nevertheless, it had done its job. Although bloated, the lion was no longer as painfully full as he was some time ago. Back at his apartment, the lion yanked off all his clothes and hopped into bed drifting off to sleep minutes later.

Evan's phone buzzed on the nightstand as a digital tune rang out. The lion picked up the phone. It was from a number he didn't recognize. Checking the time, he saw that it was early in the afternoon. The massive pizza and the long road trip into town must have really done a number on him; he needed the rest. Curious, the lion swiped across the phone's screen to accept the call.
"H-hello?"
"Yes, hello! Is this...urm...Evan?" The voice on the other side of the line said.
"Yes it is. Who is this?"
"This is Alexander Pettingham!"
"Umm...I don't know an Alexander..."
"We met la-...Oh, I don't think I introduced myself! I was the fur you called the ambulance for last night. In the park?"
"Oh, oh! Yeah, I don't think I got your name."
"Well, now you have it! I got your phone number from one of the paramedics and I wanted to call and thank you! If you weren't there, I'd probably still be on the ground now!"
"Hey, it's no problem. How's the ankle?"
"Great! Well, actually not great. The doctors said it's fractured in a couple of areas. I'll have to rest it for a couple of months so it can heal."
"Yikes. I'm glad I called the hospital then."
"And I'm glad too! Look, are you free this evening? I'd love for you to come over to my home for dinner! As a thank you!"
"Oh, there's no need. I'm just glad you're doing better."
"Nonsense! I insist! It's the least I could do! Now please, give me your address. I'll send a car over this evening..."
