Prisoner

I twist the knob on the yellow door and am instantly engulfed by a blinding white light; I am suddenly standing in the middle of a filthy empty room built of dirty grey stone with straw and unidentifiable filth covering the floor.

A heavy chain attaches to a large shackle around my neck, the other end affixed to the back wall; wrought-iron bars run from floor to ceiling.

Oh my god! I am in prison; I am a prisoner.

Three guards wearing strange red and white uniforms approach the exterior of my cell; two large, muscular brutes either side of a much, much shorter, pudgy gentleman in what appears to be an ornate pirate's hat.

The little man in the centre removes his odd peaked hat and places it over his chest, he must be the leader.

"Aha! Mister Bellafonte! Your time is almost up, come nightfall you will have your meeting with the executioner and I will finally be rid of you. I have heard that you shall be accompanied by the king of the Naswahli. Two birds, roasting beside one another. Ciao."

The trio casually saunter out of eyesight.
