This choice: Tiny Harry on the platform • Go Back...Chapter #4Platform 9 & 3/4" Harry by: Haro-Haze In this version of the universe, Harry and Ron were allowed to pass through the gateway and board Platform Nine and Three Quarters.
Ron went to board the train and locate Hermione before the locomotive left the station. Meanwhile, Harry stayed behind with his luggage and Hedwig to ensure she got aboard the train before they left.
"Harry Potter should have listened to Dobby. Harry Potter should not have come to the platform." A voice said around the corner. It was Dobby, the House Elf. Who paid Harry a visit at the Dursleys' house.
"Dobby, what are you doing here? You'll get me in trouble again. Go home." Harry said under his breath, not wanting to make a scene.
"Harry Potter should have listened to Dobby. Harry Potter should not return to Hogwarts this year." Dobby declared.
"My friends are here. You can't stop me." Harry said, steadfast on boarding the Hogwarts Express.
"Then Harry Potter leaves Dobby no choice. Dobby will keep Harry Potter from boarding the train at any cost." Dobby said, snapping his fingers before disappearing into a cloud of smoke.
As soon as Dobby disappeared, Harry began to feel rather strange. His whole body tingled as if something terrible were about to happen to him.
He looked towards the train and saw the other students in the distance, laughing as they saw their friends for the first time in months. They all looked so tall! Harry expected his friends to grow up a little over the summer, but not by an entire foot. Even the first-year students he never saw before were either as tall as he was or taller.
That's when it dawned on Harry. Nobody was getting bigger. He was somehow shrinking. If only he had focused his attention on Hermione last year when she was talking about the Engorgio Charm, then he might have been able to reverse the effects of whatever spell was responsible.
Unfortunately, there was nothing that he could do. Harry shrunk to the size of a bug on the platform, unable to stop the change over the next few seconds, the lack of his presence going unnoticed by the other students, all but one who was coming to investigate.
However, before Harry could adjust to his new size, a large boot appeared over his head, exiting the wall onto the platform. The boot reached halfway up the student's calf, made from synthetic leather.
Harry reacted quickly to the sudden appearance of the gigantic student, rolling to safety as her foot came down right on top of where he was standing only a moment ago.
He breathed a sigh of relief as he looked up, accidentally getting a good look at the student's knickers as she turned her head, revealing that it was Susan Bone's, a second-year who started her own Hogwarts journey alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione last year.
Susan was sorted into the Hufflepuff house, and was a persistent, intelligent, and kind young witch. "She wouldn't hurt a fly." Said Hermione to Harry during the course of their first year at Hogwarts. Of course, that only applied if she knew the fly were standing in the path of her footfalls as the young redhead rushed towards the train.
In fact, he was so preoccupied with watching Susan run toward the train that he didn't notice another familiar redhead as she approached him.
"Harry? Harry, where did you go? We should board the train now, or it will leave without us." boomed a familiar voice above Harry, one he recognized immediately as Ron's younger sister, Ginny Weasley.
The First-Year Hogwarts student was massive, towering over Harry as she walked closer to search for him, her booming footsteps threatening to crush The Boy Who Lived if she wasn't careful.
The fiery-haired Weasley wore a brown coat and boots that went up halfway to her knees, tied together by a well-worn red skirt that gave Harry an unobstructed view of her red knickers, which she had subconsciously decided to wear because they matched the primary color of Gryfinndor's color pallet, the house she wished to recruit her.
"Ginny, look out!" Harry yelled as he rolled back, the toes of her boot landing directly in front of his face, making this the second time in as many minutes that he'd nearly been stomped on by a female student, both his age or younger.
Luckily, Harry was a quick thinker, drawing his wand to cast a spell that would get Ginny's attention. "Wingardium leviosa!" Harry yelled, targeting Ginny's bootlaces, using the charm to levitate them up to her exposed shins, tickling the giant girl's skin.
"Haha, quit it." Ginny giggled, looking down in confusion as she wondered what was responsible for tickling her. She saw her floating bootlaces, but was more interested in the odd-looking bug standing inches away from the tips of her boots.
"Huh, what's all this about?" Ginny asked herself, leaning forward to examine the bug closer. Realizing upon closer inspection that it looked like a person, jumping up and down and waving its arms. It was saying something, but she couldn't make out the words.
"Ginny, Ginny, watch your step! It's me, Harry. I've shrunk!" Harry yelled, afraid of Ginny's stomping soles.
"Harry! I could've stood on you! What do you think you're on about down there?" Ginny asked, concerned about her crush nearly being crushed under her feet.
"Come on, grow yourself back up. We're bout to miss the train, and I haven't learned any spells yet. Mum just went with me to get my wand from Ollivander's the other day, Harry." Ginny declared. Unfortunately, Harry didn't know the spell either.
"Ginny, I can't! I don't know how!" Harry yelled, hoping his words were reaching Ginny's ears. They weren't, but she was a well-studied girl and caught on quickly enough when a few moments passed, and Harry was still the size of a lacewing fly.
*WOOooOOOH!* The train funnel blew, nearly splitting Harry's eardrums as he turned away from Ginny, the Hogwarts Express sounding off its final boarding horn.
"Right then, you can explain this to me later. Right now, we ought to get you aboard the train." Ginny huffed, bending at the knee to pick up Harry.
However, by the time Harry realized what was going on. It was already too late, and Ginny's fingers had spread around him like a spider's web, blocking any attempt to escape.
She balled the shrunken Boy Who Lived into her fist, wondering how she should best keep him hidden. She didn't exactly want the whole school to think she was the one who shrunk Harry.
She carried him up her body, rolling him between the inside of her fingers as she brought him under her face to explain the situation to her little crush, unfurling her finger to reveal her enormous freckle-spotted face, more extensive than the side of the house. Her expressive blue eyes focused entirely on Harry.
"I can't let anyone see you like this. So I need to hide you inside my clothing." Ginny explained, blushing as she thought about some of the more risky places she could hide Harry on her person.
"That's fine. I'd rather not be seen like this, either. Just promise me you'll bring me to Hermione Granger as soon as possible, she's one of my best friends, and very smart. If anyone can fix this, I'm sure she can." Harry asked, giving Ginny a mission to pursue. Although part of her was still thinking she could fix this on her own, studying in the library once the sorting ceremony had commenced.
However, that meant Harry would still spend at least a full day, tiny and on her person at all times.
"Right, I'll consider tracking her down. But first, we need to get on the train," Ginny answered honestly, unnerving Harry a little as she moved him to his new temporary home on her body.
Where was Ginny planning to hide Harry?
1. Ginny shoves Harry into her pocket, boarding the train and tracking down Hermione. Revealing the shrunken Harry Potter so they can help him together. (Reserved)
2. Ginny pushes Harry down the shaft of her boot, where he eventually slides under the ginger Weasley's toes.
3. Ginny spins around to face the train, so nobody will see, stealthy opening the back of her knickers and tossing Harry inside, forcing him to spend the entire train ride to Hogwarts pressed firmly up against her butt. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
