Considering his options carefully, Jaune first ruled out swapping lives with a teacher. While the authority and how he could use it to prank his friends was a really nice benefit, they were usually pretty busy and he might be forced to teach some class as Professor Port or Goodwitch.
Looking over the student options again, he saw that the only group he really knew was team CRDL. Quickly ruling them out, he was able to recognize a few people moving through the courtyard.
The first one Jaune picked as a potential target was the monkey faunus, Sun Wukong. The guy was pretty cool from their interactions so far and he had that cool monkey tail. Pyrrha always encouraged him to be more confident as team leader. Maybe spending a bit of time in the life of someone who was already confident in themselves could help him grow in that department. Another candidate he saw was the leader of Emerald and Mercury’s team, Cinder, was her name if he recalled correctly. Jaune knew much less about her than he did with Sun for sure but from what others, mainly Ruby, told him, Cinder kept to herself usually. It might be easier for him to impersonate her while swapped since she interacted with people much less. And, like Sun, she was also the leader of her team. Regardless of which one he picked though, Jaune could also do a bit of scouting and learn a lot about his target and their teammates to prepare for them in the Vytal Festival.
