(This chain may contain more graphic scenes than the previous ones due to Cardin not being an outstanding individual.)
Cardin was not in a good mood, even though he should have been. He had finished pummeling Jaune Arc in combat class not even an hour ago. The problem was their professor, Glynda Goodwitch, kept on going on about the mistakes ‘he’ had made, not Jaune. It was like she didn’t see how easily he defeated his opponent. Sure, Jaune had helped Cardin out once with an Ursa, but that was a long time ago. As thanks, Cardin didn’t bully him directly. That didn’t mean he would hold back in combat class. Also, there was a little bit of jealousy fueling Cardin’s irritation during the practice battles.
Not only was Jaune’s partner skilled and attractive, he was close friends with team RWBY, who was full of some of the hottest girls in the year. Cardin’s team was full of guys. Sure, they had similar interests and joked around at other people’s expense, but Cardin would have liked to be on the same team as a couple girls. A lot of accidental mishaps could arise when you lived together.
“Life’s not fair at all,” Cardin muttered, kicking a rock. He was walking across Beacon’s campus, debating what to do. Two of his team members had detention for failing to turn in their homework and the third was trying to fix his weapon that got damaged during class today. That left Cardin to do whatever he wanted by himself. Something sparkled in the distance and it peaked his interest. “A remote?” Cardin muttered confused, reaching down to pick it up. Below it was a folded up pamphlet of some kind. The title was clearly visible.
Your Guide to the Swapping Remote
Something compelled him to read the pamphlet and his eyes grew wider with each word.
“No way in hell. No way in hell is this real. Some asshole’s pranking me.” Cardin glanced around, yet no one was there. He was farther away from the main buildings, so not a lot of people came this way. “I know this is fake, it has to be, but…”
He trailed off.
It was too tempting to ignore. His imagination showed him all the fun adventures and swaps he could do. Not only could he use it to spy on all the ridiculously attractive girls in Beacon, he could even swap his team around with them. He could rule the school and do pretty much whatever he wanted. Testing the remote became a priority. If it didn’t work, he would throw it away. If it did work… well, let’s just say he was going to enjoy himself.
