Ruby wiped the sweat from her brow after decapitating the last Beowolf, a Grimm that vaguely resembled a wolf that walked on its hind legs. She had been practicing a few new moves in the Emerald Forest right outside of Beacon. With no other Grimm in the vicinity, she transformed Crescent Rose, her signature weapon, a high caliber sniper rifle that could transform into a large scythe, back into its compact mode before clipping it onto her hip. She then started to head back to Beacon to hang out with her team. Whistling, she started skipping, happy that her training was bearing fruit.
Something sparkled in the sunlight near a tree and she stopped.
“Did someone drop something?” Ruby thought, heading over to it. The forest was used by all the students at Beacon, so it wouldn’t be uncommon to see things left behind occasionally. As she drew close, a look of confusion formed on her face. “A remote? What would a remote be used for out here?” She picked it up and noticed a small folded up pamphlet underneath it. Her confusion only grew as she read the title.
Your Guide to the Swapping Remote
Something compelled her to read the pamphlet and her eyes slowly widened as she read on. By the time she reached the end, her mouth was wide open.
“This has to be a prank,” Ruby muttered. “But what if it’s not?” She looked back and forth and all around her for someone to pop out and confirm her suspicion. “If something like this is real, I have to try it.” Her only option was to try it out. The temptation was too great for her to ignore and Ruby had always been weak to temptation. It’s why the cookie jar back home was always empty.
The question was; should she use it now or show it to someone first.
