In hindsight, it /may/ have been not such a good idea to chase after the imp thing that stole your wallet, giveh no thought to where it was going or whether you could even catch it, but hey, you were in the heat of the moment, no one could blame you for that.
You chased the violet devil down through winding streets probably looking like a maniac while doing so, until you managed to corner it in an alleyway.
"Hah...ha..., caught you," you crowed triumphantly, a little winded but totally convinced that you had the little thied dead to rights.
Unfortunately, you were so focused on getting your wallet back you failed to see the giant ring until it wa too late.
'Oof!" Your momentum carried you forward as you tripped, sending you sailing over the threshold and into another world.
As soon as you sailed over the ring's glittering threshold the portal snapped shut, and disappeared in a flash of golden light.
You spun on your heels trying to get a fix on the disturbance behind you, only for you to realize that the portal, your way home had vanished into thin air.
"What the— Where...am I?"
You heard a cackle come from the underbrush nearby, and when you turned to look a purple imp-like being whizzed past your head, the same one who had stolen your wallet.
She... you're pretty sure it was a she... the imp creature had a small body colored in a dusty pink, a pair of bright emerald eyes with yellow sclera and in its mouth was a set razor sharp chompers. The creature floated in the air as if gravity had no hold over it, and on each hand it wore a ring of burnished gold of a shape startlingly similar to the ring you just passed through. Could this imp have something to do with the ring portals opening up?
"Hoo-hoo-hoo-hee-hee," the creature sniggered from behind its palm.
"H-hey you," you called out shakily, not at all sure of yourself now that you were directly in her sights. The little genie sniggered again, this time a little more loudly. Apparently her idea of great fun was to torment and bully random people by ccmmiting petty theft.
Still, if she was intelligent then it's possible that you may be able to reason with her.
You swallowed down your apprehension and reached up your hand in a placating gesture. "C-can you hand me back my wallet, a-and maybe try sending me back home pretty please?"
The little genie seemed to consider your words for just a moment, then jerked her head from side to side in the negative, and clutched your property close to hee chest. "Uh-uh. Mine!"
So she could talk, possibly eveb in English. That meant there was still a chance that you could reason with her.
"Please, I don't want to be stranded here!"
She giggled again and pulled one of the rings off her "sleeve" and flung your wallet into it.
Your heart sank.
The very thing you had cine here for was now gone, most likely forever.
That was the least of your problems, however, as you were now in a place completely unknown without any way of getting back.
"L-look you can have it, I don't care. Just.. please, can yoou find it your heart to send me back home? Pretty please?"
You hated to beg, but it looked as if this naughty little imp was going to be your only ticket home.
The genie seemed to consider your words, then she snapped her fingers and five golden rings appeared behind you floating in midair. Each one of them held a different scene
She pointed at the rings and in a raspy voice ordered, "Choose."
You looked at her, confused. None of these lead back to where you came from. "I don't underst—"
The creature let out an exasperated sigh and ran her palm over her face. "Choose one! I don't have all day."
The wordl that you chose was
