"There now just to wait for the spider!" Tracer triumphantly having saved a prominent politician from the Widow's trap. She sat in the window watching Widowmaker scope on the door the politician was expected to leave. After twenty minutes had passed the Widow turned her site towards the nearest window, landing on Tracer's position. Tracer quickly waved before blinking out of a bullet's trajectory.
She sped out the back and around the sniper so she may taunt her purple rival.
"You missed!" Lena taunted in a sing-song voice. "You would think by now you'd be used to my lead." She further jested.
"You saved the bot?" Widow asked not turning around.
"Of course I have! It's what Heroes do!" Tracer responded as she blinked in front of the blue woman. As soon as the blue faded the cunning sniper did two things simultaneously she opened fire spraying bullets into the space Tracer had recently claimed and shot a gas mine to the spot Tracer previously stood.
"You got me good!" Tracer said between coughs and closed eyes as the gas faded. Lena had figured she'd be gone when she opened her eyes and chased after the shadow she briefly saw disappear in an alley. Lena knew the plan and pressed a button a certain gorilla had told her to when the time had come.
"I'm on my way!" A lovely voice projected from a speaker in her accelerator.
"Thanks, love." Tracer said as she ran. As she approached the alley Widow launched from below shooting at her position, just as planned Lena blinked towards the sniper as a gorilla grabbed the sniper by the arms. The impact from the gorilla changed her trajectory and loosened a piece of wood that must have been caught in her belt.
"Unhand me you monkey!" The sniper said as she landed with the "monkey"
"I don't think so..." Lena stopped paying attention, clearly Winston had her handled for the moment. Lena retrieved the sniper's gun that had landed on the edge of the roof. Lena noticed a shattered box in the alley below.
"Winston, we might want to have Mercy take a look at her ankle before leaving her to rot."
"Understood." Came the deep voice. A jet swooped in on the opposite side of building. "You ready to go Lena?"
"Just a sec Winst!" Lena turned around, sniper's gun in hand. As she jogged towards the jet the wood Widow had dropped caught her eye and impulsively she picked it up. As soon as she'd grasped it she'd paused as the wand touched her mind filling it with information about itself. "I wonder if Widow knows about you..." Lena silently said to the Swap Wand as she pocketed the stick and continued to the jet.
As Lena stepped into the jet she was greeted. "Good job Oxton!" It was Pharah, "I'd feared we'd need cavalry for the cavalry." she jested.
"You know full well Tracer can handle Widowmaker, she's practically studied her." Soldier called from the cockpit.
Widow was bound to a chair in the back of the jet, she was staring daggers at all around her. Winston had already reclined in a hammock hung in the corner of the room.
"Thanks for the welcome guys." Lena replied to the room. "I'm beat." She stated as she plopped into a seat and relaxed as if she may catch a quick nap. That was her plan at least, but a recent event brought up some tantalizing hypotheticals...
