Backstory 1: The Grim Reapers are capable of leaping through time with their scythes. This explains why so many choose to customize theirs in the shape of modern era tools. Christopher happened to stumble upon Grell doing his job. At first the scarlet reaper was confused as to how Christopher saw him. But then began to panic as he realized this was quite the conundrum.
Christopher ended up being dumped onto Sebastian at Phantomhive Manor. What will happen when Ciel realizes he's got a man who can tell him about the future and endless knowledge that would be unobtainable elsewhere?
Backstory 2: Christopher after dealing with unbearable PTSD for so long...commits suicide. And as such is doomed to become a grim reaper as penance. All reapers were once humans who committed the sin of taking their own lives. He is taken under the wings of Ronald Knox, Grell Sutcliffe and William T. Spears.
Perhaps being a reaper won't be so bad...especially if he gets his own custom scythe like those three!
