For a tense couple of minutes, you hid in the bush while the three Sneasel searched for you. You were hiding deep in the foliage, and so you couldn’t look out and see them. However, you easily heard them passing by, and felt the shaking of their steps a few times. There was even one time when the bush rustled as one of them pushed aside some leaves and branches, but not enough to reveal you.
In the end, you heard the girl Sneasel hiss loudly. “Ugh, where is that stupid little thing!?” she yelled.
“I can’t find it,” the boy Sneasel said. “Come on, let’s get outta here. I don’t wanna waste all my time looking.”
“Fine,” the girl groaned. You heard quick footsteps fading away, and you slowly crawled out of the bush. You caught a glimpse of the three Pokémon running off into the forest. You couldn’t help but grin and jump for joy. You managed to escape from these cunning giant predators!
But your heart sank as you realized something else: you were now all alone in the middle of the wilderness. You had no clue where the friendly Weavile was, and you also didn’t know if this place was safe. There could be an even more dangerous predator lurking nearby, ready to devour you.
You had to make a choice now. You might be able to return to Weavile if you found the tracks left by the three Sneasel, and then followed them backwards. Or, you could stay put and hope that Weavile had the same idea as you, and decided to follow the tracks to you.
