Chapter #5

Braixen's Little Friend

    by: irven Author IconMail Icon
A weight lifted off your shoulders when you heard Braixen say that she considered you a friend. Part of you had been worried that she might see you as a pet, or a toy, or something of that nature. But apparently, despite your tiny size, she really did care about you, and was planning to treat you well. You sure got lucky to be discovered by such a nice Pokémon.

Even so, you didn’t like the idea of staying out in the wilderness with her, instead of reuniting with humanity. Even if this Pokémon protected you, there were still wild Pokémon everywhere, and one could easily devour you as soon as Braixen took her eyes off you. At least humans wouldn’t try to eat you. Plus, if you met with a scientist or professor, they might be able to do some experiments and figure out how to undo your shrinking. So, you thought it might be better to return to civilization, but you were afraid to disagree with this giantess.

“Um... I’m really grateful that you’re being so kind to me,” you began, talking carefully. “I mean, it’d be so easy for you to eat me or something, but you’re going out of your way to help me in my time of need.”

“Aw, don’t mention it, little human,” said Braixen. “Like I said, I’ve been lonely, and I’d really like having a friend to spend time with. I wouldn’t dream of eating you.”

“I’m happy to hear that. But... I’m not sure if I want to stay out here with you. You might not trust humans, but we’re not all bad. I’m sure if we went to the town, we’d find a human who would protect me. Plus, we have a lot of great technology, so I bet someone would have a machine or something that can help me.”

“Really? I don’t know much about humans, but... even if that’s true, I still don’t know if it would be safe. I’d feel better if you stayed with me, so I could keep an eye on you. Trust me, I’ll protect you. You’ll be safer here.”

You hesitated. Was it really a good idea to stay with Braixen and trust her with your life? Or would it be safer to go back to civilization and seek help from a human?

You have the following choices:

1. Return to civilization

2. Stay with Braixen
