Chapter #6

Victini's win-win situation

    by: Unknown
You didn't really know what that smile the legendary was carrying meant for you, but Victini soon cleared that fog,

"Okay buddy, I'm gonna help you!" she exclaimed cheerfully. You could feel your heart fluttering with relief... just before it sank like a rock on the bottom of the sea upon hearing her next sentence,
"Byyyy keeping you with me! Isn't that awesome!?" she continued, eyes sparkling.

The expression you had on your face told everything, 'What?', though Victini didn't seem to pick up on the problem.

"Um, dude? What's wrong?" she asked with sudden concern, noting that you were just staring at her, almost catatonic.

Hearing her voice once more snapped you back to the insane reality you were living in.

"What do you mean what's wrong?" you spoke, feeling a chill running past you before it was dissolved by the warmth emanated by the Victory legendary.
"Why would you want to keep me?"

Victini shrugged with her free arm.

"Well, what else am I supposed to do? You're the one who asked for help." she pointed out.

"I meant - help by growing me, if possible, please." you clarified.

Victini tilted her head.

"How are you supposed to grow things?"

"I don't know!" you yelled out of exasperation, before remembering your position,
"... Aren't you the legendary?"

"Last time I checked." she replied,
"Look, I don't know how to help your - heh - 'little' problem, so that just leaves one option. You figure it out."

It wasn't hard to. She had already spoken what she intended to do with you.

"On second thought, why don't you just put me back down and I'll be on my-"

"Aw, c'mooon, don't be silly! I don't wanna think how you'd end up if I left you on your own! Think about, what if some big mean Pokemon was to find you and you were all alone?"

You had already pondered that possibility. You didn't like it, but being kept by a Pokemon didn't didn't sound very appealing either.

Not hearing any reply, Victini smiled.

"See? You see things my way." she pointed out, as if reading you like an open book,
"Don't you get it? This is a win-win for the both of us!" she exclaimed, rising two fingers to do a silly victory pose. How ironic of her to say such thing.

"Whaddya mean?"

Victini glanced back for a moment, then took flight and hovered a few feet above the ground, closing her hand around you to prevent you from falling to your untimely death.

"Think 'bout it, you'll be safe and I'll make sure you've got everything you need," the twin-tailed giantess explained.

You were basically going to become a pet, you mused, though, as humiliating as it could be, you guessed you could live with that.

However, there was still one thing that troubled you, and it was her side of the deal.

"What about you?" you asked warily,
"What do you get out of helping me?"

Victini's eyes sparkled.

"Ain't that clear? I get super cool, tiny-"

'Pet'.

"... Pal! Oh, this is gonna be sooo cool!"

Huh? 'Pal'?

"... 'Pal'?"

Victini nodded.

"That's right! You're gonna be my little friend!" she repeated, her smile fading as she looked down,
"You never get to do anything fun around here. But now you're here! We get to mess together!"

The smile came back to the face of the long-eared Pokemon giantess as she continued,

"What do ya say?" she asked.

As intimidating as she was right now, this creamy legendary seemed more playful than harmful, which you were really glad for, though you had your doubts what she meant by 'messing', in which she wanted you to have a role.

However, if there was no other solution to your issue, then you should have jumped at the opportunity. Which you did. Getting out of the grasp of potentially deadly Pokemon would be a great improvement already, plus Victini assured she'd take care of you.

At this point, what did you have left to lose.

"Alright." you spoke after a long hesitation,
"I'm in."

Victini's smile widened.

Next thing you knew was that you impacted with a soft, warm wall of creamy fur and the legendary flailing in mid-air out of happiness, gushing about how great this was.

You didn't really cheer up, but guessed that this could've gone much worse. Like her eating you, for example.

After a while of just floating around and smothering you in a hug, Victini finally pulled off and did her victory pose a second time.

"Okay dude, now that's settled," she said, doing a childish twirl around,
"Let's have some fu- oh?"

She interrupted when she saw you just staring at her blankly.

"What's the matter?" she asked, adopting an expression of polite perplexity.

You sighed.

"Look, I appreciate you taking care of me and everything, but I just... I need a minute." you admitted, trying to internalize with everything that had been going on lately.

Just look where a stroll in the woods had brought you.

Victini opened her mouth to speak, but then shut it back up and nodded in understanding.

"It's okay." she said, before getting an idea,
"Hey, maybe you can pick what to do next. Wouldn't that be nice?"

You smiled weakly in appreciation. At least, she was trying to be supportive.

"Thanks." you murmured.

"You're welcome!" she replied cheerfully,
"So tell me, what is it that you want to do?"

You thought for a moment.
