So, suffice it to say, things didn’t really get interesting until she had accidentally gotten herself lost.
Right? Smart girl like Hunter Black managed to get herself separated from a group led by one of the loudest, most annoying girls in history? Go figure.
It happened sometime after Big Bird started talking about the benefactors of whatever Wing they were in. The West Wing, yeah, but they were supposed to be in some big fancy computer lab or something. She had been talking and Hunter just kind of zoned out for a while… before she knew it, Hunter had taken a left when she should have taken a right. And then another left, and then a right, and then…
Where was she, now?
This was perfect. Total Hunter move, she cussed as she tried to find her way back to her tour group. First day here and she’s already lost as could be.
For it being almost the first day of school, the hallways weren’t exactly bustling. Not many other girls were out and about, and the ones that Hunter could see weren’t exactly in the mood to help. For one reason or another, Hunter found herself without a Sherpa on this mountain that was her prospective home for the next for years…
“Hey.” A voice sounded from behind her, “Hey you—skinny.”
Hunter turned around. Not that she really considered herself skinny but… okay. Whatever.
