Chapter #5

Lap of Luxury

by: Bobo the Hobo Author IconMail Icon
Hunter didn’t bring a lot of personal items with her. Why would she, right? But even her paltry suitcase filled with what she had chosen to bring along with her seemed at least twice as heavy after having to lug it up four floors.

She would have taken the elevator, if there had been room. A flock of girls, each about the size of a tank, had decided to fill it up before she could make her way inside. There wouldn’t have been enough room for little ol’ her inside, let alone her suitcase, if she decided to squeeze next to that big blob of chocolate pudding or that redhead with the tits.

So the stairs it was—looking at those girls was enough motivation to take the stairs anyway.

But God if lugging her crap up all those stairs wasn’t murder on her back.

Well, slight correction. Her breasts had been the most murder on her back. The ol’ Black Family Boobies hadn’t left her much for vertebrae. Add into the fact that she was very much an “indoor” girl and voila—you’ve got an aching back and boob sweat.

Oy vey, she sounded like her mother…

Never mind. The point was that, after four flights of stairs, Hunter was finally right where she needed to be. 5th Floor, East Wing, in the Spencer Suites.

This was a newer part of the building, as were the two floors above it, with this floor’s construction in particular financed by the backers at Boonliang International. The hardwood flooring was of a different grain than the floors below. The Vandergriff suites were above, and the Hammond were above that. This Academy could hold an army if it had to—Hunter was just grateful that she only had to go up to the fifth floor. She didn’t know who the fuck these Boonliang people were, but it wouldn’t have killed them to have their suites a few flights lower.

Room 114, 115…

At least there was an elevator on either side of the hall. It must have started on the second floor, because Hunter certainly hadn’t been presented with the option of not taking the stairs…

116, 117…

Lots of vending machines on this hallway.

122, 123…

Room 123! Just the one she was looking for. Easy to remember and relatively near the elevator. Awesome.

Hunter held her Student ID up to the iris on her dorm’s security device and waited for the light to turn green. Wheeling her suitcase inside, Hunter was greeted with the sight of her lavish new dorm room—a million times nicer than anything she had back home!

Big couch, big TV (and no dumb sisters/Mom to crowd it!) and a full kitchen set. Bedrooms by the looks of it, each with their own closet and bathroom…

Moving towards the door on the right, Hunter touched the light switch. She had a Queen bed, all to herself, and a dresser, all to herself, a neat little desk, a closet and the cleanest bathroom that she had ever set foot inside…

Hunter should have moved out a long time ago!

But the kicker? On her bed was a great big welcome basket, full of snacks! Her older sister Piper used to work for Yeng so she’d grown up on all the good stuff. It wasn’t name brand, but it was better! Honey buns, apple pies, cupcakes and muffins… Hunter hadn’t had some of these in years!

“That almost makes the flight of stairs worth it.” Hunter smacked her lips as she unwrapped a chocolate cupcake, “Almost.”

Without further adieu…
