Audrey didn't know when she had let her guard down. She had laid down what she believed to be fair and basic house rules for everyone when they moved in. A rotating schedule where everyone pitched in on short, simple tasks one or two days a week.
Yet two years on and most of the chores had been left to Audrey. Just because she was the oldest shouldn't mean she had to be the only one who took this seriously.
Although Phoebe had been hopeless when it came to even the most basic of chores. Uma and Reagan could shirk out of duties like nobody's business. As in, nobody did the household business. Even Ixchel could be tied up with her job, which was frustrating for Audrey because her cousin could work from the townhouse, couldn't she take a moment to lend her a hand?
It didn't help the Audrey needed to go shopping for new clothes but sadly she couldn't prioritize that on her task list.
Audrey's clothes showed signs of having seen better days. Her patterned leggings were quite stretched and her white top had some ground in stains that couldn't get removed. It was the only clean pair of clothes she had that weren't old and raggy.
The underwire of her bra was also digging into her side, which didn't improve Audrey's mood. It was added irritation to all she had to do today. She just had to buckle down and grunt it out to get these chores done.
