This choice: There’s a killer party that she scored an invite to. • Go Back...Chapter #3A Once in a Lifetime Party by: Keroro04 And it really was a kicking day, Uma thought as she checked the mailbox that morning. Browsing the mail, she put to the side various letters and magazines that were collected in the box, as she stared down at one letter in particular. Tearing off the wax seal keeping it closed, Uma slowly opened it up, excited at what she knew was inside.
“Dear Uma Ferro,
You have been cordially invited to the Lindsey Estate to celebrate the esteemed Charlotte Lindsey’s birthday. The festivities will be going on in three days on October 30th, so be sure to bring the best dress you can afford to the party.
This invitation also acts as a +1, meaning you’ll be able to bring a single guest with you to the party. So long as you show this letter to the doorman, they will let both of you in.
Be seeing you there,
Charlotte Lindsey~“
Looking through the letter with glee, Uma held it up to her chest as her efforts had finally paid off for the last few months. Charlotte Lindsey was one of the richest women in the city, a daughter of the esteemed Glorius Lindsey who had turned said city from a rural town to a bustling metropolis in only a few years, and she was known across the area as the hostess for some of the greatest parties in the city.
And now that she was turning 25, she made plans for one of the biggest parties ever held. From what she knew when she bought the invite online, it started at the manor on the day of her birthday, and then continued as all the expenses were put for a week long cruise to the Bahamas, where further decadence and luxuries were to be brought to everyone who showed up.
These sorts of parties didn’t run cheap though. With the invite costing a huge $10K, Uma wasted through not just her own money, but Reagan’s as well in exchange for the more mischievous twin being her +1. It’d take a long time for her to even get close to having that much money again, but for just one shot at the biggest party ever held, it was worth it.
Rising up from her chair, Uma began to walk back to her room, only to be stopped in the middle of the hallway by Reagan, lights shining in her eyes. “Hey do you won’t believe what- woah, is that what I think it is?”
“Yep!” Uma said flipping the invitation around to show off to her roommate. “The invite has arrived, and in mint condition too! We’re going to have one hell of a week!”
“Oh you bet!” Reagan said, hugging Uma as hard as she could. “Man, we are going to get soooo wasted on that cruise…”
“Absolutely… so, do you have your stuff packed for when the day comes?”
“Yep! Got myself all the beach essentials, and then some! What about you?”
“Well I still need to get a fancy dress…” Uma admitted, sighing a bit as she remembered that line about a dress in the invitation. “But I got everything else packed up for while we’re gone. I just hope the Townhouse doesn’t feel too quiet while we’re gone.”
“Oh, I’m sure they’ll be fine!” Reagan said, patting Uma on the back before dropping the hug and turning around. “And besides, we deserve this vacation, for all we’ve done for them!”
Reagan was right about the two deserving a vacation, Uma thought. For the past few months the two of them have been doing the brunt of the work across the Townhouse under Audrey’s orders, to make the Fordham Home feel a bit homelier. She had even made sure that the both of them got jobs, with herself moving between small jobs and Reagan herself getting a job at that new Lone Star Tavern bar.
All in all, it was exhausting for the two women, and for Uma especially due to all the work being on top of her usual exercise regimen. For once, she just wanted some rest, and this big party was the perfect chance for it.
And for Reagan, this was the perfect opportunity to finally gain recognition for herself, to separate herself from her twin Phoebe. On a huge party such as this, she could mingle with the rich socialites in town and, if she was lucky enough with her charms, she’d find someone to fall in love with and pamper her.
Before she walked away though, Reagan turned around and asked Uma one more thing.
“Hey, if you want I could let you look through some of my dresses before you go shopping. Maybe you’ll find something you like?”
“Hmm…” Uma said, pondering on the idea, before nodding in agreement. “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try…”
___
3 days later…
“This is it, Uma… the Lindsey estate!” Reagan said, excited as she got out of the car, her travel case trailing behind her. “It’s finally time for us Fordham ladies to live like queens!”
“You can say that again…”
It was 3 in the afternoon on the Lindsey Estate, and after saying goodbye to everyone at the townhouse on 8422 Fordham Avenue, Uma and Reagan were finally here for the festivities. Admittedly, they had arrived fashionably early compared to the rest of the guests scheduled to arrive, but they didn’t care, as they just wanted to party.
And for the occasion, the two got into the best clothes they were able to afford. Uma had ended up settling on one of Reagan’s red lounge dresses, accompanied by a fancy pair of red high heels. She was somewhat unused to wearing these sorts of fancy clothes, but as long as these clothes didn’t cause any problems than she was fine with them.
With Reagan though, she dressed like how she usually did for parties, wearing a sleeveless blue silk dress with a very short rim to show off her rear end and killer thighs, accompanied by blue heels. All she wanted to do was show off her figure and drink, and as soon as those opportunities presented themselves, she was going to take it.
Walking to the front of the estate, the two saw a large and heavyset lady of a bouncer, standing in front of the door and guarding it. “What business do you have here at the Lindsey estate, ladies?”
“We’re here for the party, of course!” Uma said, handing out the invitation to the bouncer with a smile on her face.
Looking at the invitation carefully and slowly, the bouncer stepped to the side as she opened the door for the two. “Ah, Uma Ferro plus one. Right this way…”
“Of course…” Uma said, as the two Fordham ladies slowly walked through the door and into the main estate. The halls were quiet at the moment, but the two anticipated that would change as soon as more guests arrived. Until then though, it was time to mingle with the guests that were there.
“This is going to be the best night of my life…” Uma thought to herself, as she walked down the main hall with Reagan. “Nothing is going to stop me…” indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
