"Nice one Sam" Both Sam and Dean heard. They stopped eating as they heard the voice and looked at each other, it was familiar, a voice that they knew all to well. Sam and Dean exchanged glances at each other, shocked to have heard it. "Dean... was that" Sam said.
"No.... it couldn't be...." Dean finished. Both of them looked to where the voice had came from to there shock and excitement to see that it was their father, John Winchester. Both Sam and Dean stood up from their seats, their first instinct was to hug and embrace him, but given where they were and the eeriness of this place they also thought it was a trap, not to mention John looked different from the last time they had encountered him. He was now spotting a beer belly, something both Sam and Dean would know their father wouldn't be caught dead having. Both of them just started at their father unsure what to make of this what in different circumstances would be a heartfelt encounter.
John just smiled at his sons, taking no offense tot heir defensive glance. "You haven't seen your father in a few years and this is how you treat him?" he said jokingly.
Dean shrugged. "Well.... the last time we saw you dad... you died, and now you're here in this creepy summer camp, spotting a beer belly of all things!?" Dean shouted slight agitated by his father's laid back demeanor.
John chuckled. "I get it, everything is strange, but trust me there's nothing to worry here, and this" John said giving his gut a rub, is from living the good life here at this summer camp".
"Dad how are you even here?" Sam asked.
"To be honest I'm not even sure myself, but the food and beer has been great, not to mention the two of you were enjoying yourselves not to long ago" John said.
Both Sam and Dean eyed each other, their father wasn't wrong, they did enjoy themselves and Winchesters coming back from the dead wasn't all to rare now. Perhaps it would be better just to enjoy their time together with their dad, for now, till they could figure out what was going on. They then looked at their father smiling.
