Fruit and vegetable Scenarios

Very successful growth ray test: Someone invents a growth ray, as is tradition the first thing they test it on is an apple. If work, very very well and the apple will just keep growing and growing seemingly forever and will smush the universe. Fortunately they find a way to make it physic and friendly.

Very competitive pumpkins: some pumpkins at in a pumpkin growing contest. Known of them will settle for being second biggest and so they all keep willing themselves bigger and bigger. As there is no point being big if there is nobody to see it they decide to look after all the beings they grow over.
