"Come on. This shirt has to fit." Their mother mumbled.
Cindy tried to suck her belly in as much if she could which was't much. Their mother tried yo pull it down again.
"Is't it exciting. We're gonna start our own restaurant today, and you two can help a bit."
"Mom! Cindy can't even carry drinks to a table." Mandy mumbled.
It was true. Cindy and Mandy both tried to carry a tray with some drinks. Mandy even had been able to hold the tray with one hand and put the drinks on table with her other hand.
Cindy at the other hand, if she carried the plate most drinks did't even came near the table. She could hold the trays right and even if she did she moved so much most liquids went over the edge. Even if she did reach the table she was't strong enough to hold the tray with one hand. Luckily they used plastic cups with water to practice.
"Well she can swipe the floor and clean tables. Together with you. That's also important."
"But what about our bed time. The restaurant stays open pretty late. We be in dreamland before we can clean."
"Tomorrow morning. We're open from 17:45. So we have the whole morning to clean and you are mostly awake around 6 or 7 hour in the morning so you have plenty of time. You can also help doing the dishes."
Both girls moaned at this.
"Don't we have a dishwasher?" Mandy asked.
"Of course we have but can't just push dirty dishes in it and expect it to be clean. You need to wash them first a bit before putting them in or else they don't become clean. When they come out you also need to make sure they're dry. You also need to put those dishes in a tray for the dishwasher, and out. See? It's not so easy. But easier then getting this shirt down. I really don't think it fits Cindy."
"Then use some of my old clothes?" Mandy suggested.
"Good idea." Their mother said relieved, and looked in Mandy's closet. "Besides I also need some taste testers with some new things I wanted to try. Do you know anyone?"
The girls smiled hearing this. They liked it way more then any of the other things they heard so far.
Of course their mother was't planning to let her daughters work they entire day, especially not Cindy with being only three years old. But they could help a bit. Every now and then. At least with cleaning and taste testing things. She would't let the girls near the knifes or the cooker.
Mandy frowned. Except for the taste testing, she was't really fond of what she heard.
"All right. Finally these fits. Oh you two little girls look perfect. So sweet. Now get down. I know for sure the first guests will arrive soon."
Cindy looked a bit painful. She was kind of shy. Especially for people she did't knew. So for her it was kind of hard.
But finally they stood all on a row waiting for the first guests to arrive.
