Rebecca Yawned as she came downstairs. It might have been summer vacation, but the little girl was woken earlier than she would have liked. She could hear the pots and pans being moved about in the kitchen from her mother making breakfast. This wasnt normal at all. Usually she was up before her mother and had to settle for a single bowl of cereal.
Of course, a growing girl like her would have liked to have more food, but there just wasnt that much to go around. You see, she had to share her portions with her younger brother, Jake. This might not sound so bad, but their parents had been out of work for quite a while and still hadnt been able to find a job. Money was tight and that made everything else in the house all that more scarce, including their food. Both Rebecca and Jake were almost always hungry because of this and were even starting to get really thin from their lack of nourishment.
It was probably this reason that neither child questioned their mothers motive for making such a large breakfast. Both kids could only grin as they walked in to the kitchen, only moments apart from each other, and saw the big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausages and bacon. Both Rebecca and her brother ran over to the table as fast as they could and began to dish out big helpings for themselves, each determined to eat as much as possible.
Their mother grinned as both hungry kids began to wolf down their food without a second thought. They didnt even notice the special liquid she had placed in the cooking. She and husband had been talking and knew there were too many mouths to feed in the house. So, both agreed to buy the special serum that.
