Steven's disembodied soul was hovering over his empty body, currently lying in his bed. He was looking down at himself. It was strange to watch his empty body breathing on its own.

It had only been a week since the solar flare hit. It knocked every last person on earth out of their bodies. Like everybody else, Steven was terrified, but made his way back to his body. It took a few days before communications were back up, but when the news came back on, they explained the solar flare and that everybody on earth now had the ability to leave their bodies at will.
There were also the unlucky few. About 1 in 10 people never returned to their bodies. The scientists best guess was that their souls got carried away by the solar flare. People just helped themselves to the empty bodies and within a week a black market had already formed.

Steven decided to re-enter his body lying in the bed. He'd just returned from the cinema. He decided to sneak in his disembodied firm to avoid paying for a ticket, he wasn't the only one.
As Steven stretched his body and got out of bed there was a knock on the door. Steven made his way to the door and opened it. It was Carly, she was now in the body of her former employee Hannah. Hannah was one of the unlucky ones, her soul carried away by the solar flare. Carly decided to help herself to Hannah's body.
"Hey Carly! Come in!" Said Steven cheerfully, always happy to see his friend.
"Sorry Steven, I can't stay. I'm going out for dinner with Darren. I was just wandering if you wanted my old body? I thought it would be cool having two bodies, but it's just too much upkeep. If you don't want it, I'll see if someone else does. If you do want it Darren will help you carry it out of the boot of my Range Rover." Finished Carly.
