Ash decided to pass the time until Dawn came back by taking a quick nap. No need to wait around. Ash laid down on the couch and shut is eyes. The next thing he knew, he felt himself being lightly shook.
"Ash?" He heard Dawn's voice.
Ash rose from his sleep. "Oh hey Dawn? So what did you run out of here so quickly for?"
As Ash got up, Dawn looked a little down, "Well I originally cam because Professor Oak had learned about new techniques being used in Kanto contests and wanted to know if I'd be interested. At first I was, maybe it'd be a way to shake things after how I've been feeling, but ultimately it wasn't for me."
Ash feigned concern "How have you been feeling?"
"Well, I've actually been growing tired of pokemon contests, and even just raising pokemon all together." Dawn replied
"Oh really, why's that?"
"I guess it's that I've grown so much since I started as a Coordinator, and I'm not just talking experience wise if you get my meaning, and I feel that no one's noticing because my pokemon as overshadowing me." At seeing Ash's reaction to this, Dawn looked flusters and jolted back a bit "I, uh, I mean I still love my pokemon, but I think it's best for both of us that we go our own ways."
"So did you release them?" Ash questioned
"Of course not!I could never just get rid of them, but that's actually what I wanted to talk with you about. I thought it be best, especially after the good job you did with Buizel, to transfer to you when I went to Oak's. Is that okay with you?"
"Sure, Dawn, I'll take care of them for you." Ash said convincingly
"Good, I knew I was making the right decision. And for what it's worth, all my Pokemon seemed really excited about the change. I bet they felt me growing distant this whole time. But this does leave me with a bit of an issue."
"What issue is that?" Ash seemed more genuinely confused now.
"Well I've been doing contests for about 8 years now and I having really done anything else. I guess I put so much thought into ending my pokemon journey that I never really considered what I wanted to do instead."
