Johnny proceeds with the test, but he notices Jack acting strangely and looks over to see Darlene blushing and averting her eyes. Johnny is concerned how this might affect the results of the test and decides to talk to Jack privately after the experiment is complete.
Johnny hooked up Jack and Darlene to the machine and initiated the process. The machine first scanned their brains for data, collecting information about their thoughts, memories, and mental state. After the scan was complete, the data was processed and used to switch their bodies. Johnny then activated the machine and the process began. Within moments, they were in each other's bodies and Johnny was left scrambling to figure out how to fix the malfunction.
Jack and Darlene are both in shock as they survey their new bodies. Jack is horrified and panic-stricken while Darlene can barely contain her excitement. Johnny quickly attempts to reverse the process, but the machine has been damaged beyond repair. He apologizes profusely and offers to help them figure out how to switch back.
