As you are lifted out from the box you feel your stomach drop as your plan has taken a hard turn. Instead of the beautiful older teens you had expected to see, you see a room full of much younger girls, probably the oldest of the bunch being a freshman! You hadn’t even realized girls these young would even be allowed to take this class to learn about child care, but unfortunately you’ve found yourself on full display before them.
“These dolls,” the teach begins saying as she holds you upside down before the class, “are going to be a large portion of your grade. We will go over proper etiquette of feedings, changings, and cleanings for them as the semester goes on. Each week or so you will bring the doll up to me for an inspection and based on how clean and undamaged the doll is I will give you a grade accordingly. I expect you girls to take care of these doll as if they were your own children.”
Once she was finished showing off the dolls the teacher lowered you back into the box leaving you face up at the very top of the pile.
“Now,” she goes on, “Why don’t you all come up one at a time and collect your doll.”
You hear the girls giggling as they begin to approach. The first girl to stand up makes it to the box and wraps her hands around you and lifts you up and out of the box. As you are brought up to her face you see the girl who has grabbed you is…
Mary: the younger sister of your best friend
Jessica: the slightly ditzy captain of the middle school cheerleading team
