You decided you'd pay a surprise visit to your friend, Jenny. She was a long-time friend from back in high school, who you'd once had quite a crush on. It'd been some months since you'd seen her, and you figured she'd enjoy the company. Jenny's husband was on a long business trip at the moment, leaving Jenny at home with her 1-year-old son, James.
You reached the door to Jenny's house and rapped upon the door. You waited for a moment and tried again. After the third knock, you gingerly opened the door, finding it unlocked.
"Jenny?" You called out softly, feeling a little awkward just walking in the door.
There was no one to be seen. You found yourself in a lovely living room, looking around. You spotted a picture of Jenny on the mantel and smiled. Her blonde hair shone in the sunlight, and her smile was radiant.
You moved farther into the house, calling softly for Jenny a couple more times. You peeked into James's room and saw him sleeping peacefully in his crib.
As you moved farther down the hall, you heard some water running. You reached Jenny's door, and there you debated what to do. Was it really appropriate to walk into a woman's room? For all you knew Jenny was changing. But then again, you'd already come this far.
